Boizão Editions is the creative studio behind Boizão — one of the most respected video editors in the Brazilian League of Legends community, known for his work with names like Pato Papão and AXT. The brief was to build a full visual identity that felt as distinctive as the work itself.

Boizão built his reputation through years of high-quality editing for some of the biggest names in Brazilian esports. By the time this project started, the community already knew who he was — the brand just needed to catch up with that recognition.

THE PROBLEM
Boizão had a strong reputation inside the community but no visual identity to match it. The brand needed to communicate craft, personality, and a deep connection to gaming culture — without looking like every other studio.
THE SOLUTION
A vintage aesthetic built around a custom rubber-hose mascot — a cartoon bull drawn in the style of 1930s animation, think Cuphead meets video editing suite. The identity blends classic animation warmth with subtle nods to modern editing software: timeline elements, hourglass icons, and the visual language of After Effects and Premiere woven into the system.

The mascot was the heart of the project — and the biggest challenge. Illustration isn't my primary discipline, but the concept demanded a custom character that could carry the entire brand. I pushed through it, iterated until the proportions and personality felt right, and delivered something the client was genuinely excited about. || The result is a brand that lives comfortably in two worlds: the nostalgia of classic animation and the culture of competitive gaming content. Comic, cheerful, and unmistakably vintage — without losing credibility inside the scene it was made for.
The timeline-inspired details were a deliberate choice: small visual easter eggs for anyone who's spent hours inside an editing suite. The kind of thing that makes a fellow editor look twice and immediately understand who this brand is for

Boizão Editions was a reminder that the best briefs come with real cultural context. Designing for a community you're already part of changes the quality of the decisions — you're not guessing what will land, you already know.
